Marketing companies provide a number of services. They not only advertise, but also gain customers, track campaigns, analyze data and constantly generate new ideas. Here are some of the best marketing and advertising companies, rated according to revenue and growth by the business entrepreneur website Inc.com.


AdBrite


Called "the eBay of online advertisers", AdBrite hooks up buyers and sellers of Internet ads, allowing them to place and accept advertising bids. AdBrite, founded in 2001, has had 3,856.1 percent growth since 2001, and a 2007 revenue of $31.4 million.


Red Ventures


Red Ventures is a marketing company that goes out and gets new customers for its clients. It does this through its technology-enabled platform, which lets Red Ventures convert new customers and generate leads. The platform also helps the company track its marketing campaigns and optimize them accordingly. It can be changed to suit new products and services, and Red Ventures has used it to launch its own new companies. Red Ventures has grown 5,863.9 percent since 2000, with a 2007 revenue of $103.7 million.


Pepperjam


Pepperjam, based out of Wilkes-Barre, North Carolina, offers many services in Internet marketing. The company offers management and consultations in search engine marketing, online media planning and affiliate marketing. Pepperjam has experienced 2,447.5 percent growth since 1999 and made $15.3 million in 2007.


CPX Interactive


CPX Interactive, which calls itself "a progressive online ad network and global marketing company," follows a model similar to television advertising. CPX manages a network of websites, and clients buy advertising on as many or as few of the websites in the network as they want. CPX is a new company, which has grown quickly, going from a yearly revenue of $2 million in 2004 to $49.9 million in 2007.


Geisheker Group Marketing Firm


The Geisheker Group is a more traditional marketing company, offering services in market research, copywriting, sales and sales training and publicity. Geisheker's client list includes British Airways, Pitney Bowes, MetLife, American Express and Walmart. Geisheker has also been featured in Entrepreneur, Money, The New York Times and Fortune.


42 Entertainment


42 Entertainment produces original entertainment content but also has an innovative, stand-alone marketing agency. 42 combines marketing with gaming, trying to engage customers as it sells to them. 42 has done campaigns for companies like Microsoft, where it launched the Vanishing Point campaign, the release of a puzzle game with embedded clues leading to worldwide celebrations marking the rollout of Windows Vista. 42 has also handled marketing for Microsoft's Halo 2, Nine Inch Nails and the Dark Knight.


Glispa Media


Ranked first on Inc.com's list of the top 100 marketing and advertising companies is Glispa Media. Glispa Media has its headquarters in Germany but has branched out into offices in Brazil and in New York. Glispa bills clients on a pay-for-performance basis, and apparently something is working. The company initially focused on providing marketing services to health care companies but has branched out significantly. Clients include Capital One, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Citibank and Pfizer. Glispa has grown 8,140.2 percent since 2001 and generated $25.5 million in 2007.
