People also feel respected when they are well informed and kept up to date with information so they can be more productive at their jobs.

Corporate culture is the intangible aspects of any company or organization. Every team, family and business creates a culture that is specific to itself. The members all know the specific norms and unwritten expectations of the corporation. Corporate culture can be beneficial or destructive depending on the leadership philosophy.

The purpose of communication in corporate culture is to define it. Communication in corporate culture has the power to correct wrong perceptions and inspire its members to continue to perform their best. Team communication is seen in the sub-committees or departments of the company. The leader over that particular group communicates directly to her dependents. Organizational communication is messages sent that affect the entire corporation such as policies, procedures and mission statement. Sending messages using spoken words is verbal communication while written communication is sending messages using written words, such as an email.


Outcome


The outcome of communication in corporate culture is dependent on how effective the communication is. If the communication is not effective in the corporate culture it will lead to confusion, lack of clarity and low moral. If the communication is effective the corporate culture will inspire, encourage and motivate its workers and leadership.


Considerations


Communication in corporate culture is a continuous process of making improvements. When a corporation stops assessing its communication and looking for ways to strengthen areas of weakness, the corporate culture will grow stagnate. Corporate communication should be assessed by a professional communication advisor for an accurate pulse on the company's corporate culture.


Communication in corporate culture also tends to use safe and politically correct language to not offend or send the wrong message. Any message that may appear to be racist, sexist or derogatory will be avoided. Gender-specific roles are also avoided to not exclude anyone from performing a task.
