Cite A Crisis Management Plan With Apa

If you're writing a research paper about crisis management, an actual crisis management plan can be an excellent resource. However, to avoid accusations of plagiarism you're going to need to properly cite that plan in your references page. If you're writing your paper in APA format, your reference page will also need to be formatted in this style. This includes finding out a few specific pieces of information about your crisis management plan. Does this Spark an idea?

Instructions


1. Type the name of the organization that published the crisis management plan into your "Bibliography" page. Follow the name of the organization with a period.


2. Type the numerical value for the year in which your crisis management plan was published. Include this information in parentheses with a period outside the parentheses. For example, if your crisis management plan was published in 2011, type "(2011)." (without quotation marks).


3. Type the name of the crisis management plan exactly as it appears on the original document. Italicize this name. If your crisis management plan is a particular edition of a document, include this information after the name. For example, if you're using the 3rd edition of a crisis management plan, type "(3rd ed.)." (without quotation marks) after the name.


4. Type the publishing location of the crisis management plan, then a colon, then the name of the author. For example, if your crisis management plan was published in Columbus, Ohio, type "Columbus, OH: [Author Name]" (without quotes) into the citation. Replace [author name] with the actual name of the author of the plan.
