Inexpensive Ways To Advertise Your Business

Starting a new business can be exciting and adventuresome. One of the common questions of many new business owners is find inexpensive ways to advertise their business. Using a little creativity, you can launch your advertising campaign for your business without spending a fortune.

Planning and Budgeting

One of the key factors to any business advertising plan is the planning and budgeting phase. You should write down the amount you can afford to pay for advertising each month and for the year. Decide if there are certain times of the month that are better than others for making the expense.

Another consideration for planning and budgeting is to determine your target customer. Write down the demographic information for your target customer. This will help you determine if certain forms of advertising might be more effective than others before you spend your business money.

Bottled Water Advertising

One inexpensive way to advertise your business is through bottled water advertising. You purchase personalized labeled bottle water from a wholesale supplier. On the label include your company logo. Also, include the website address for your business and your company motto. Bottled water advertising is good for business conventions, social gathers, seminars and special event hosting (such as weddings).

Radio Stations

Radio stations can offer some low-priced advertising airtime during the off-peak hours, if you negotiate with them. Many smaller radio stations are willing to help out new, local businesses. Find out your allotted air time for the radio commercial. Write a script or have someone write one for you. Record the script. Take the recorded advertisement to the contact person that should've been given to you when you talked about pricing and allotted air time.

Electronic Newsletter

Technology has made email and electronic newsletters a popular form of inexpensive business advertising. There are two important components to electronic newsletters as an inexpensive business advertising tool: Be certain you do not send an electronic newsletter to someone that didn't request it or subscribe to it. And ensure the newsletter is informational and not all advertising.

Set up a website to advertise your electronic newsletter and your business. Be sure to have a page where visitors can subscribe to the newsletter. Write or hire a ghost writer for an informative newsletter about something relevant in your niche market. For example, if you sell skin care moisturizer you can write about the importance of moisture to the skin or tips to avoid sun exposure. In one column, advertise your business products or services. Send the newsletter out weekly or monthly to subscribers; pick a distribution time and stick to it.

Yellow Pages

List your business in the yellow pages. Many people use the Internet yellow pages and local yellow pages to find business services. Potential customers and clients will easily be able to locate you from your yellow pages listing.
