Ideas For Gift Basket With Business Cards

A great way to make sure your clients want to do repeat business with you is to do an excellent job and give a gift at the completion of the transaction. A gift will help people remember who you are for years to come. Here are some ideas for gift baskets that go well with a business card.

Bread Basket

Purchase a basket large enough to hold a loaf of bread, some muffins and scones. Make or purchase the bread products, and wrap them in cellophane. Place them in the basket with an assortment of jams, jellies and a jar of honey. Include a whimsical butter spreader. Place your business card at the front of the basket, as you don't want to leave any room for doubt as to who the giver was.

Fruit and Nut Basket

If your clients tend to be fairly health-conscious, gift them with a fruit and nut basket. Purchase a variety of fruits that keep well such as apples, oranges and firm pears. Choose varieties that are novel to make your gift stand out. Select two to three different types of nuts and package them in tins or in cellophane. Avoid peanuts, as many people are allergic. Tape your business card onto one of the apples to make sure it stands out.

Coffee Basket

Impress your clients by demonstrating your superb taste in coffee. Go to a gourmet grocery store and purchase three pounds of coffee from different areas of the world. Choose one breakfast coffee, one "medium" coffee and one very dark---even espresso---coffee. Countries that are known for producing high-quality coffee beans are Columbia, Ethiopia and Guatemala, among others. Purchase the whole beans and include a coffee grinder in the basket. Other good additions for the basket are two large coffee mugs, a package of biscotti and, of course, your business card.

Wine Basket

Be certain that your clients enjoy libations before giving them this basket. Select two wines, a white and a red, and choose two wine goblets to accompany the wine bottles. To fill out the basket, purchase a selection of crackers and chocolates. Include a corkscrew to accommodate the desire for instant gratification. A charming addition is a red and white checkered picnic blanket if you are giving the basket to a couple. Tape your business card to one of the wine bottles as if it were part of the label.
