The Best Way To Advertise A Home Daycare

Taking good care of the children will earn you a good reputation.

There are many different methods for home daycare providers to use for advertising. Many of those methods are either inexpensive or free. The best method for you depends upon which method you feel most comfortable with and which one rewards you with positive results. One quirky fact about daycare advertising is that some advertising methods work better than others depending upon the city that you live in. What works in Chicago may not work in Houston, for example. Be open to trying new methods of advertising until you find ones that pay off.

Instructions

Daycare Centers

1. Build a relationship with nearby daycare centers.

Contact daycare centers in your vacinity in person.

2. Introduce yourself and give them flyers with your information on them. Offer them a list of your references.

3. Ask them if they mind offering you as an option to parents for those children who they can't accomodate.

Newspaper Ad

4. Family home daycares are rewarding.

Call your local newspaper to run an ad. This will cost you a bit of money upfront. It is a good idea to write out the ad before calling the paper to save time on the phone.

5. Write down your prices and any ideas that you want to tell the parents that call before the day that the ad comes out and keep it by the phone. Keep a pad of paper and a pencil beside the phone, as well.

6. Schedule a day to make appointments with new parents to meet them and the children.

Other Quick Free Advertising Methods

7. Have business cards made that stand out.

Talk with the secretaries at local schools. Leave some of your business cards with them. Often parents ask secretaries if they know of anyone who has a home daycare during after school hours until they get off of work.

8. Visit local baby and children's retail clothing stores. Leave your business cards on their display counters with the manager's approval.

9. Pin up your flyers on your church bulletin board.

10. Pin up your flyers at the hospital maternity ward bulletin board.

11. Give your business cards to realtors in your area who may meet some new families moving into the neighborhood in the future who may be looking for someone like yourself.

Internet Advertising

12. The internet is a positive way to advertise.

Advertise on your own website for your home daycare center. Place your website address on your business cards and flyers.

13. Advertise on Facebook. Facebook is a growing way to connect with other parents and keep them up to date on information about your daycare.

14. Send emails about your daycare center. Inform them about your schedule of events, meal plans, upcoming birthdays or openings.
