The iPod Touch is a portable media player featuring the ability to download and install applications from Apple's App Store. The App Store offers both free and paid applications. You will need a credit card to download and install paid applications. However, you can create an iTunes account without a credit card that will allow you to download and install free applications on your device without a credit card.
Instructions
1. Open the iTunes application on your computer.
2. Select the "My Store" option from the iTunes window. You will find this option on the left side of the iTunes window.
3. Select the "App Store" option at the bottom-right of the iTunes window.
4. Select a free application from the iTunes App Store. Free applications will display a "Free" badge at the bottom of the application. Click the "Free" badge to download the application. You can select any free application.
5. Click the "Get App" icon.
6. Click the "Create a New Account" button. Click "Continue."
7. Click the "Continue" button to accept iTunes terms and conditions.
8. Enter the ID, password, security question and birth date that you want to use to access your iTunes account. Click "Continue."
9. Select the "None" option when prompted to select a payment method. Enter your name and address in the billing information fields. Click "Continue."
10. Tap the "App Store" icon your iTouch device. Enter your iTunes ID and password and click the "Continue" button to complete the setup of your iPod Touch without a credit card.
