Remove A Dealer Decal From Car

Remove a dealer decal from your car with paper towels and vinegar.


When you purchase a new vehicle, the dealership typically puts one of their own decals on the back of the vehicle for a bit of self-promotion. Peeling away at the dealer decals is ineffective as it is designed to tightly adhere, but there is a quick and inexpensive way to remove the decal without harming your vehicle. Instructions


1. Soak a paper towel in white vinegar.


2. Open the paper towel and lay it flat across the dealer decal. Leave on top of the decal for five minutes.


3. Remove the paper towel and peel off the dealer decal, starting at one corner and peeling across to the other side of the decal.


4. Wipe off the area of the vehicle with the wet paper towel to remove any remaining adhesive.


5. Wipe down the cleaned area of the vehicle with a damp paper towel moistened with just water, and wipe off again with a dry paper towel.
