Where Make Achievement Certificates & Print Them

Make your own certificates.

You can make custom achievement certificates in several ways at very little cost. Whether you have a computer and printer or not, resources are available to help you create and print your certificates.

At Home

With a computer and a printer, you can generate classy achievement certificates, especially if you have Microsoft Word. With Internet access, you can search Word's huge database of templates to find a certificate you like. But even offline, Word has lots of possibilities. Open a new document and explore the "Page Layout" tab, especially the "Page Borders" menu.

Other desktop publishing programs such as Printmaster also work to generate certificates. These often have lots of pre-made templates that you can modify.

Computer, No Printer

Develop a certificate on your computer, and save it to a portable storage device such as a CD, a thumb drive or a memory card. Take that to a place with a printer. Try an office supply store that has a copy center, like Staples. Give them your flash drive, and they'll print your certificates for you very inexpensively.

No Computer

Many public libraries have computers you can use. Develop your certificate on the computer there, and print it to the library's printer. A librarian will be glad to help you.

Designed for You

Look in your yellow pages under "Printers," to find a business that will design and print your certificates according to your specifications. Your local newspaper might also provide printing and design services.
