Buy IMVU Credits With Google Checkout
IMVU users purchase items such as furniture, themes, clothing and music in the IMVU Catalog or Bundle Vault with IMVU currency known as "credits." Although new users receive promotional credits with setup or from IMVU credit refunds, users must generally earn or buy new credits. IMVU and many IMVU merchant members offer Google Checkout as a payment processing method. Buying IMVU credits with Google Checkout isn't difficult and only requires that you have an IMVU account, Google Account and a credit card.
Instructions
1. Sign into your IMVU and Google accounts. If you don't have a Google Account, register for a free account on the Google Accounts "Create an Account" webpage (see Resources below). Enter your current email address and create a password. Choose your account options, enter the "Word Verification" letters that confirm that you're not an automated system, read Google's "Terms of Service" and "Privacy Policy," and then click the "I accept. Create My Account" button.
2. Click on your current credits under the "Homepage" button on the top right corner of the screen to go to the "Buy Credits" area of the IMVU store or click the link in the Resources section below.
3. Select an IMVU credits package--one time purchase only. IMVU doesn't offer Google Checkout as a "Payment Method" for monthly membership packages. Click a button with the credit amount and purchase amount written on it or "Add to Cart."
4. Finalize your order. Confirm the amount of credits in your "Shopping Cart" list. In addition, confirm that Google Checkout appears on the "Payment Method" list.
If you have a coupon code to apply a discount to your purchase, enter it in the "Coupon Code: " field and then click the "Apply Coupon" button to change your "Total Amount Due" to the total after discount.
If buying credits as a gift for a friend, check the box beside "YES!" in the "Buying for a friend" section and enter your friend's avatar name into the supplied field.
To finalize, click the "Continue" button beside the "Google Checkout" option to go to the Google Checkout webpage.
5. Complete your order. Confirm your order information including any discounts on the Google Checkout webpage. If you've used Google Checkout before, sign-in (enter email and password). Click the "Sign in and continue" button to submit your order and credit card information. If you're using Google Checkout for the first time, enter your credit card and billing information, choose whether you want to receive Google Checkout offers and then click the "Agree and Continue" button.
6. Go to IMVU merchants for another way to buy IMVU credits. Use the IMVU Bundle Vault or the Google Products Store Search (see Resources) to find and buy credit packages.
To buy an IMVU Bundle Vault package--IMVU user-created item and credits collection--click a bundle image or the "Learn More" link to explore available bundles and then the "Add to Cart" button when ready to purchase. If Google Checkout appears on the list of "Payment Method" options, repeat Steps 4 and 5. If not, use another payment method.
To buy using the Google Products Store Search, type "IMVU" in the search field and explore the merchant results on the next page. Click on a merchant offer to go to that merchant's website, select an offer and then click the Google Checkout "Buy Now" button to begin your order (open the Google Checkout webpage).
