Make Candy Bar Wrappers

Personalized candy bar wrappers can be made at home at a very low cost. Homemade wrappers can add a personal touch to candy gifts at weddings, birth announcements, and even promotional products for business. You will need to buy the candy and printing paper.

Instructions

1. Remove the outer wrapper of the purchased candy. The inside wrap must be intact. For example, if you're using a Hershey bar, remove the brown outside wrapping that says Hershey, but keep the silver wrapping.

2. Visit a website with free candy bar templates. As of 2011, Microsoft had several templates uploaded by users.

3. Fill in the candy bar template with the desired photos and information.

4. Set the printer to landscape mode so you can print two wrappers at once.

5. Use basic, cheap copy paper to print a test page in black and white.

6. Cut the wrapper to size and try it on the candy bar. Make any adjustments to the template, then print out the wrappers in color.

7. Trim the wrapper with scissors or a paper cutter. Wrap the bars with the newly cut wrap and secure them with tape or a dab of stick glue.
