Determine Priority Mail Postage By Zip Code

Use the USPS Postage Price Calculator to find the cost of mailing a package.

If you are planning to use the USPS Priority Mail option to mail a package and want to calculate the postage, it takes little time to do so using an online calculator provided by the USPS. To get started, you need to know the weight of your package and the ZIP code you plan to mail the package to. After you use the online calculator, you can pay for the postage online and print the shipping label, or you can take the package to a post office.

Instructions

1. Open a tab in your Internet browser and go to the USPS Postal Price Calculator page.

2. Click the arrow beside "Select a destination" and choose where you plan to send your package. Select "United States (Domestic Mail)" to mail your package within the country, or select a different country.

3. Enter the ZIP code you are going to mail the package from and then enter the ZIP code you are mailing the package to. If you are mailing a package out of the country, skip this step.

4. Select a mailing date and time so you can get an estimation of how long it will take to ship your package.

5. Select the shape of your package. For example, if you are mailing a small or medium package, click the "Package" shape.

6. Enter the weight of your package and click "Continue."

7. Click the "Priority Mail Options" tab and select "Priority Mail." The postage for your package will show up beneath the mailing options, next to "Product Selected." Now that you have the price for mailing your package, you can pay for and print a mailing label or take it to the Post Office.
