Disney Fastpass Tips

If you've ever gone to Disney World or Disneyland, you've experienced the mass crowds and long lines for the best attractions. Luckily, Disney has a complimentary FastPass service for the most popular attractions that will give you ticket for an appointed time when you can get on the ride with no line. A little bit of strategy and planning ahead will help you maximize your time at the park using the FastPasses.

Start Early

The best way to get the most out of your Fastpass is to plan to be at the park early in the day, as soon as they open up, if possible. If it's a busy crowded day at the parks, Fastpasses might run out by the afternoon for the best rides. Prioritize before you head to the park which rides are the most important and head to them in order as soon as you can.

Send One Person to Get Fastpass Tickets

Rather than have the whole family fighting the crowds at the Fastpass kiosk, give someone in your group who is quick and efficient everyone's admission ticket, which you need in order to get a Fastpass. Send him to the chosen ride to pick up the Fastpasses, which will have a return time printed on the pass.

In the meantime, the rest of the family can find somewhere to eat, or go on other rides in one area of the park, and have the person picking up the passes meet up with them. By the time the family is finished eating or have gone on a few of the smaller rides, it should be about time to get on the Fastpass ride.

Get a New FastPass Before You Ride

Before you get on the ride that you currently have a Fastpass for, pick up Fastpasses for the next ride the family wants to experience. Disney only wants people to have one Fastpass at a time, so there is a waiting period once you get one to the next time when you can get another one.

You can get new Fastpasses one minute after your current Fastpass return time, or after two hours, whichever comes first. You have a one-hour window to ride using your Fastpass, so don't rush to the ride. Instead go to the next ride first and pick up Fastpasses for that ride, and then go back to get on the first ride. This will cut down on your time between Fastpass rides .

Stay Close to Your Fastpass Ride

To avoid crisscrossing back and forth across the park tiring your feet out, plan your day so you ride the attractions in order of how close they are to each other. When you are waiting for your Fastpass return time, you can get on other smaller rides and attractions nearby.

When your FastPass return time comes up, send someone to the next closest Fastpass attraction to get tickets, enjoy the ride and then head over to that next area. You will get to enjoy both the Fastpass attractions and the less popular attractions, and you feet will thank you.
