Business cards are an important part of your business, and making your own salon business cards is one way to ensure that your cards portray a true image of your company. There are three ways you can make your own business cards. One is to design salon business cards using your home computer and print them yourself. A third way is to find an online shop where you can design your salon business cards using their templates and have them print and mail them to you.

1. Compile the information you want to display on your card. This information should be what prospective customers need to know about your salon and contact you. At minimum, the card should include your business name, your name, your business address and a telephone number. If you have other employees, including your personal extension or cell phone number is a good idea. If you have a full service salon make sure your card says so. If your salon offer special services like hair weaves, manicures, nails, facials or massage therapy, be sure to list them on your business card. Let prospective customers know what you have to offer when they see your card.
2. Decide if you want to include some sort of graphic on your salon business card. Adding a graphic to your business card is not necessary but can help draw a perspective client's attention. If you do want to add a graphic, there are a couple of ways to go about choosing one. You can design your own graphic, use your existing business logo, search through books or templates of clip art for a graphic that you like or use pre-printed business card stock that has an existing graphic or border. Common graphics found on salon business cards include a chic looking facial graphic, scissors, styling tools and nail care tools such as fingernail polish, a fingernail file and a beautiful set of nails.
3. Design the layout of your salon business card. If you are using a graphics program on your home computer it is simple to move the graphic to different locations on the template and try out different fonts and sizes. Play around with it until you have a layout that you like and save it so that it is easy to find.
Another option is to search through clip art and fonts that printers offer. Employees are available to help you make these decisions as well as advise you on cost. A third option is to search online for a printing site that allows you to design your salon business card yourself, using their templates. Once you have created a design you are happy with and have paid them for their services, they will print and ship your business cards directly to you.
