Monogrammed pens can serve a variety of purposes, other than just writing. Monograms are elegant designs that contain your initials which can make your pen look more professional, as well as easy to find when you put it down. There are companies who offer pen personalization services or you can create your own monogrammed pen over the Internet in a few easy steps.
Instructions
1. Locate a company that personalizes pens. You can contact a local printing company, or you can search for different companies on the Internet. Companies such as Vistaprint and Wealthwood Gifts Inc. create personalized pens and will allow you to order smaller quantities of one or more pens. Other companies may require you to order a minimum order of 250 to 500 pens.
2. Design your pen. Some companies, like Vistaprint, will allow you to use a design template, or completely upload your own design. If you choose to upload your own design, you can create your design with a program such as Adobe Photoshop or Pixelmator, and then upload it through the printing company's website. Companies such as Wealthwood Gifts Inc., will allow you to enter in only the text that you wish to have displayed on the pen. Traditionally a monogram is three characters, the first is the first initial of your first name, next is the first initial of your surname, and the last is the first initial of your middle name.
3. Complete your purchase. If you have never ordered a product from the printing company before, you may have to create an account. Enter your shipping and billing information, select the quantity of pens that you would like, and your preferred delivery method. Submit the order to complete your purchase.
