Write A Resume For A Promotional Model

Promotional modeling is an exciting job. It is perfect for college students with flexible schedules. As a promotional model you get to work for major companies, promoting new products at events and stores. Promotional models have to be outgoing, talkative, fast learners and not afraid to engage in conversation with strangers. They also have to be able to follow directions very closely. With an iron-clad resume and shining personality, you will be working as a promotional model in no time.

Instructions

1. Take a notepad and write out all of your positive qualities that are applicable to the promotional position you are applying for. Most promotional modeling jobs require similar personality traits and experience. If you have never worked in promotions before, focus on qualities that involve how well you interact with people, specifically strangers.

2. Write down your previous work experience. Do not include more than three past jobs. If you have no work experience, note that you have never held a job before, but list experiences that you have had that showcase responsibility.

3. Write down a general statement, or short paragraph, stating why you are fit to be a promotional model. Keep it short and simple. This will be the first thing potential employers see, so choose your words carefully.

4. Take your list and begin typing it into an actual resume on the computer. If you have a resume builder program, follow directions as you are prompted, and fill in information accordingly. If you only have MS Word, center your personal information at the top of the page. This should include your first and last name, address, phone number and email address.

5. Type out your Objective. This is the statement, or short paragraph, that you wrote out on your notepad. Then type out your previous work experience, separating each job by two spaces beneath the description. Make sure that you list the duties you held for each job. If you have no work experience, type out your list of applicable experiences that show responsibility.

6. Spell check your resume. Add some color or change the font to separate your resume from other applicants. If you need a reference, or example of a resume, do a search online. There are many different websites that give examples of resumes, in case you need a format to follow.

7. Save your resume. Print several copies.
